Limits

Today we covered finding limits using your calculators and finding limits of a function given the graph of the function. Then we looked at some basic properties of limits and how to evaluate limits analytically.
Which method did you like the most and why? What are indeterminate forms? What are several ways to solve them?

Welcome back

Welcome back. This year will be a very exciting year for you. You will be doing calculus for the first time. I know most of you are a bit scared of this course but it's not that difficult at all. I have set up this blog so you and your classmates can communicate with each other. And also ask me questions about the concepts we covered in class.

There are a few things you need to do in order to do well in my class. You must do all the assigned problems even if you are not successful in doing all of them. That way you and I can figure out why you're getting stuck. Most of the time you get stuck with a calculus problem not because of the calculus but the algebra.

I will also be assigning writing assignments and this year electronic projects.
